They are my favorite undead faction and I like how they are kind of a regular faction and horde hybrid. Vampire Coast- Pirates of the Caribbean vibes are strong here. They are lower though because the only lord I really like for them is Settra. Tomb Kings recruitment mechanic is probably the most unique in the game and I’ve always loved ancient Egypt. They were my favorite faction until I bought the second game. Greenskins- the first faction I played as in the first game because I had just got done playing shadow of Mordor when I bought it. No real magic and terrible movement speed is why I don’t play them much though. Conquering land outside of Norsca sucks though and their generic lords aren’t very fun.ĭwarfs- these guys are really cool, they have a lot of really good ranged units and strong infantry. I love their confederation mechanic and their unit roster is really cool. Plus Ulthuan is way more fun to invade than to defend. I just don’t really enjoy playing as them. Their lore is cool and the Lothern Sea Guard is a cool unit. You’ll probably notice that I like the second game’s races a lot better, the High Elves though are just so clean. High Elves- my least favorite of the WH2 factions. Makes sense though, wouldn’t want them to change it. Playing as them it slows you down with attrition and makes it hard to attack them if you are fighting them. Vampire Counts- This is where I get in to factions that I actually do like to play as. Plus I don’t like their amber mechanic or wood elf outposts. Anyways, all of that stuff that he likes, I don’t. In fact he plays as a Druid in our current d&d campaign. He has always liked nature powers and tree spirits and everything that the Wood Elves stand for. Wood Elves- One of my friends has this as their favorite race.

Again though maybe if they get an update that will change. I don’t like their lords, their units, or their campaign. I love cavalry in all this historic games too. I really like the idea of the French and Arthurian mix, the lady of the lake, chivalry and all that. The only reason these guys top them a little is because I like their aesthetic a little more and I actually get to fight them in the campaign before they all die off.īretonnia- I should like this faction. Maybe this will change if they ever get an update.Ĭhaos- Same as the Beastmen I hate hordes. Honestly the bottom two are really kind of on the same level so I’ll just say that these guys can be cool in battle but they just feel so unfinished. So from worst to best how would you rank them? I’ll start.īeastmen- First off I just don’t like horde factions. Just because I’m curious how everyone feels about the current state of all the races in Warhammer. Think we missed one?
